The power going into the module (red wire) and the yellow wire has to be the same voltage to turn on the module. Leave yellow wire from head unit disconnected as you will now be able to control this thru your perko switch to power on and off. So now when you turn on the head unit it will not turn on the forward facing module the perko switch will now control the power to the unit and trigger the wake up.)
